Theres no question about it - an attractive office space increases employee creativity productivity and overall morale. Designer offices tend to attract and keep their employees longer than more unattractive ones and good workplace design is one of the top key factors that affect job satisfaction. In fact it has been suggested that a well-designed office can increase productivity by about 20%. Although many companies do not see investing in good workplace design as a priority (almost half) almost 9 out of 10 employees claim that the quality of their work environment directly affects their attitude toward work. It seems then that it would be foolish for employers not to try and find good design solutions to boost productivity - in the end it will be a worthwhile and satisfactory investment for everyone.
Meeting Areas Become A Conducive Place to Be Creative A dull and intimidating meeting room might not bring out the best in every employee. Even a client listening to a presentation in a conference room that is cluttered and undecorated might not get a very good impression. On the other hand a modern and stylish room can bring out creativity and unique ideas from the staff which in turn the company can enjoy in the long run. Even the client will appreciate the whole experience of sitting down in a long presentation or meeting as long as the environment is comfortable and encourages expression.
Citrus colors. Tangerine lime and similar shades energize and invigorate workers. If these hues are too bold for your walls try to incorporate brightly-colored upholstery art and signage. Office color trends may be fleeting but citrus accents should stay fresh for years to come. Natural materials. Think hardwood or bamboo floors earthy wall coverings corkboard and more. Bringing the outside in is the goal of many forward-thinking interior designers today. (Glass walls are great for this.) Plus naturally-sourced sustainable materials can be a green option for environmentally-conscious companies.
